Matas Group is looking for an experienced project manager with flair for IT and a solid retail understanding

In 2023, Matas acquired the Nordic beauty company KICKS, with the ambition of becoming the leading beauty and wellness retailer in the Nordic region. This ambitious goal places high demands on our IT portfolio, and we are now looking for a skilled project manager to help integrate Matas and KICKS.

With your strong retail backgroung and IT knowledge, you will be responsible for driving key projects from initiation to completion. These projects involve multiple stakeholders across Matas’ commercial and IT departments. As a project manager, you will be part of our IT Transformation Office, based in the IT department. However, success in this role requires close collaboration with teams across the organization.

Your main responsibility will be to lead and coordinate projects from start to finish across various solutions and platforms, particularly within business system implementation. Experience from another retail company is a plus. As part of the transformation team, you will ensure that projects are delivered on time, with high quality, and within the agreed financial framework.

Your tasks:

• Project management of projects that all have implementation of IT systems as a focal point. 
• Translating commercial wishes into IT that creates efficiency and value
• Facilitate a process where you, in collaboration with our business units, uncover the need for a new system and also drive the process of choosing the most suitable one. 
• Implement the chosen IT system for our business units
• Create an overview of dependencies on other projects and processes in Matas 
• Facilitate workshops to uncover AS/IS and TO/BE processes together with our business units
• Together with our architects, take the lead in coordinating integrations to other systems 
• Ensure that all project participants collaborate effectively and are motivated

Your profile:

• You have demonstrated at least 10 years of project management experience in planning and executing IT projects 
• With sparing from your colleagues and manager, you can independently handle complex projects from the scoping phase to the selection of the system with subsequent implementation
• You can understand and pass on complicated knowledge and are able to shape it into projects that provide value.
• A confident and visible leader who proactively addresses challenges and ensures project success.
• You are independent and determined. You can work both alone and in teams, and can make decisions based on your analysis and insights
• It would be a big plus if you have experience with the processes in retail 
• You are fluent in Danish or Swedish and English and have a good understanding of the Nordic languages
