Matas Group is looking for an IT Operations Specialist – Continuity & Recovery

Role Overview

You will be responsible for ensuring robust backup, disaster recovery (DR), and restore processes across our infrastructure. You will also lead DR testing and contribute to our continuity planning. Experience with Linux and/or databases is a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and maintain backup and restore processes across all infrastructure layers.
• Design and execute disaster recovery plans and testing scenarios.
• Ensure compliance with RPO/RTO targets and continuity policies.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and partner teams to align recovery strategies.
• Monitor and report on DR readiness and test outcomes.
• Support Linux-based systems and/or database platforms as needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience in IT continuity, backup, and disaster recovery.
• Hands-on experience with restore testing and DR planning.
• Familiarity with infrastructure components such as VMware, SAN, and UPS.
• Knowledge of Linux systems and/or database administration is a plus.
• Strong documentation and process development skills.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in a Nordic language is a plus.
