Help shape the future of Social across Matas Group

Matas Group is transforming how we work with Social across Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland. Across Matas and KICKS, we are building a stronger shared approach to Social – with common strategies, platform direction and learnings that help us scale what works while maintaining local relevance.

We are looking for an experienced Social Strategy Lead with deep Social Media expertise and a strong data-driven mindset to help shape and drive this work. You should be able to set direction, build roadmaps and frameworks – but also go into the data, understand what performance is telling us and use those insights to sharpen our strategy and creative output.

While this is a 12-month maternity cover, you will join at an exciting time as we are building and evolving our Group Social setup across markets.

Reporting to the Head of Social, Influencer & Content Strategy, you will work closely with Social teams across our four markets.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Shape our Group Social strategy: Develop platform roles, content principles, strategic priorities and roadmaps across Matas and KICKS.
• Turn strategy into action: Translate direction into clear frameworks, playbooks and recommendations that Social teams can execute on.
• Bring deep platform expertise: Understand how TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and emerging platforms evolve – from algorithms and audience behaviour to formats and platform-native creativity.
• Turn performance into better strategy and content: Analyse Social performance, identify patterns and understand why content works – or does not – and translate findings into clear strategic and creative learnings.
• Connect data with creativity: Look beyond topline metrics and understand what the numbers tell us about hooks, formats, storytelling, creators and execution.
• Scale what works across markets: Identify successful approaches and learnings and help adapt them across Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland.
• Drive test & learn: Build hypotheses, test new approaches and use performance data and Social Listening to continuously improve our direction.

Your profile: Strategic Social expertise with a data-driven mindset

You are an experienced Social professional who can connect strategy, platforms, creativity and performance.

Your background could be within Social strategy, Social performance, Social data & insights or a senior Social Media role. What matters most is that you understand Social deeply, think strategically and are comfortable getting close to the data to challenge assumptions and make better decisions.

We imagine that you bring:

• Strong experience within Social Media strategy, performance, insights or a closely related discipline.
• Deep understanding of Social platforms, algorithms, content formats and audience behaviour.
• Experience developing strategies, roadmaps or frameworks.
• Strong analytical capabilities and confidence working hands-on with Social performance data, identifying patterns and turning them into actionable learnings.
• Strong creative judgement and the ability to understand the content behind the numbers.
• Confidence acting as a strategic sparring partner while remaining hands-on.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working across teams or markets.
• Experience with Sprinklr or a similar Social Media Management, performance analytics or Social Listening platform is a strong plus.

Location

You can be based in Copenhagen (Allerød/Nørreport) or Stockholm, with hybrid working options.
